This page collects the questions we see most often from Canadian players, grouped by topic. Answers reflect Jackpot City's terms for players outside Ontario at the time of writing; Ontario and Alberta have their own provincially regulated sites with different offers. Terms change, so treat the casino's own cashier and promotions pages as the final word.
Account & login
How do I create a Jackpot City account?
Go to the official site or app, choose "Sign Up" and enter your email, a password and your personal details exactly as they appear on your ID. Then make your first deposit from C$10. The whole process takes a few minutes. Our Jackpot City sign-up guide walks through each screen and the details you'll need ready.
I forgot my password. How do I log back in?
Use the "Forgot password" link on the login screen and follow the reset email sent to your registered address. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes. If you no longer have access to that email, contact live chat. More fixes are in our Jackpot City login help page.
Why is my account locked?
Accounts are usually locked after several failed login attempts, during a verification review, or because a self-exclusion or time-out is active. A lock from failed attempts normally clears after a password reset; anything else needs support. Self-exclusions can't be lifted early, by design.
Can I use the same account in every province?
Not always. Ontario and Alberta have separate, provincially regulated Jackpot City sites, so moving provinces may mean opening an account on a different platform. Contact support before you move so your balance and verification are handled properly.
Bonus & promotions
What is the Jackpot City welcome bonus?
Up to C$1,600 split across your first four deposits: a 100% match up to C$400 on each. The minimum qualifying deposit is C$10 and no promo code is needed — you opt in through the cashier. Depositing players also get ten daily spins on the Mega Millionaire Wheel. Full rules are in our Jackpot City bonus guide.
What are the wagering requirements?
Bonus funds must be wagered 35 times before bonus winnings become withdrawable. A C$100 bonus therefore needs C$3,500 in bets. Most slots count 100%, NetEnt slots 50%, table games 8%, and live dealer games and progressive jackpots don't count at all. A C$8 maximum bet applies while a bonus is active.
What is the Mega Millionaire Wheel?
A free daily prize wheel for players who have deposited. You get ten spins a day with a top prize of C$1,000,000; most spins award small prizes such as free spins or nothing. Prizes carry their own terms. Read more on our jackpots page.
Do I need a Jackpot City promo code?
No. The welcome bonus is applied by opting in at the cashier when you make a qualifying deposit. Sites advertising "exclusive codes" usually just link to the standard offer, and anything promising far more than C$1,600 should be treated with suspicion.
Can I decline the bonus?
Yes. Simply don't opt in when depositing. Playing without a bonus means no wagering requirement and no max-bet rule, so you can withdraw your winnings whenever you like — often the better choice if you mainly play live dealer or table games.
Deposits & withdrawals
Which payment methods does Jackpot City accept?
For players outside Ontario: Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, MuchBetter, ecoPayz, Paysafecard (deposit only), Bitcoin, Litecoin and bank transfer. Provincial sites can differ. See our full Jackpot City payment methods guide for limits and tips.
Does Jackpot City accept Interac?
Yes, for both deposits and withdrawals in Canadian dollars. Deposits are instant from C$10, and Interac withdrawals usually arrive within about 24 hours once your account is verified. Your bank's own Interac limits still apply.
How long do withdrawals take?
After approval: Interac usually within 24 hours, e-wallets 24–48 hours, cards 3–5 business days, bank transfers 3–7 business days, with crypto often fastest. Your first withdrawal takes longer because of ID checks. Details are in our withdrawal times guide.
What's the minimum withdrawal?
C$50. The casino doesn't charge its own withdrawal fees, though your bank, wallet or a crypto network may charge theirs.
What documents do I need to withdraw?
Typically a government photo ID (driver's licence or passport) and a recent utility bill or bank statement showing your address. Sometimes proof of your payment method is requested. Upload them right after signing up to avoid delays on your first cash-out.
Games & app
How many games does Jackpot City have?
More than 1,400 at the time of writing, mostly slots, plus progressive jackpots, table games and live dealer tables. The main suppliers are Games Global, Pragmatic Play, Evolution, NetEnt and Play'n GO. Browse highlights in our slots guide.
Does Jackpot City have Mega Moolah?
Yes. Mega Moolah, one of the most famous progressive jackpot networks, is available alongside WowPot, Wheel of Wishes and King Millions. Jackpot games don't count towards bonus wagering. See our progressive jackpots guide.
Is there a live casino?
Yes. Live dealer blackjack, roulette, baccarat and game shows run 24/7, mainly from Evolution. The selection is smaller than at live-focused casinos. Our live casino review covers the tables and limits.
Is there a Jackpot City app?
Yes, for iPhone and Android, plus a mobile browser version. On Android the app is usually downloaded from the casino's own site rather than Google Play. Install steps and troubleshooting are in our Jackpot City app guide.
Can I play for free?
Some games offer a demo mode, but availability depends on your province and whether you're logged in. Demo play uses play money only and can't lead to real winnings.
Safety & legality
Is Jackpot City legit?
Yes. It has operated since 1998, holds a Malta Gaming Authority licence for the rest of Canada, and runs provincially regulated sites in Ontario (AGCO/iGaming Ontario) and Alberta (AGLC). Games are tested by eCOGRA. Our legitimacy guide shows how to verify this yourself.
Can I play Jackpot City in Ontario?
Yes, but only through jackpotcity.ca, the Ontario site run by Cadtree Limited and registered with the AGCO. Offers on this site are for players outside Ontario; Ontarians see their own promotions after logging in.
Are my winnings taxed?
For recreational players, gambling winnings in Canada are generally not taxed because they're treated as windfalls rather than income. Professional gamblers can be treated differently. We're not tax advisers — speak to an accountant if your situation is unusual.
Responsible gambling
How do I set a deposit limit?
Open your account settings and look for responsible gambling or "Safer Gambling". You can set daily, weekly or monthly deposit limits. Decreases apply immediately; increases usually take effect only after a waiting period, which is deliberate. More tools are explained on our responsible gambling page.
How do I self-exclude from Jackpot City?
Use the self-exclusion option in your account settings or ask live chat to apply it. You can choose a short break or a longer exclusion. During that time you can't log in or deposit, and the exclusion can't be cancelled early. Consider excluding from other casinos too.
Where can I get help with problem gambling?
Free, confidential support is available across Canada. Ontario residents can call ConnexOntario at 1-866-531-2600, and GameSense offers information and support in several provinces. Our responsible gambling page lists provincial helplines.
